2020 Vision in a Great Small Group

My small group includes Jack, Anita, Beth, Gary, Barb, Brandon, and me. I have to say, this is an awesome group! We really enjoy hanging out together...we're able to share differing points of view on various issues, and walk away just as tight of a group as we were before. That's so valuable. Right now, we're studying through a book together called, 2020 Vision: Amazing Stories of What God is Doing Around the World, by Bill and Amy Stearns. You should read it...but beware, it will rock your world. It opens your eyes to God's heart for His glory among the "nations," or people groups. Our group has decided that when we are finished with this book, we will study Richard Stearns' book, The Hole in Our Gospel (which I've mentioned in an earlier post on this blog). But, we've decided that as we launch into that next book, we're going to begin doing something as a group to serve, to put into action the types of things we're studying. Thanks, Beth, for nudging us that direction. I don't know exactly what God has in store, but I'm expecting some very impacting stuff to take place among our group! My prayer this morning is a prayer of thanks for these friends, and also a prayer that every follower of Jesus will have such a group to share life with.
